- Ambulance EMT/paramedic positions and firefighter positions have different hiring paths. An EMT certificate or paramedic license alone does not establish eligibility for a firefighter recruitment.
- Check whether the job is EMT, IFT paramedic, firefighter/paramedic, trainee or another role. Confirm the assigned work location, required state/local credentials, driving requirements, experience and testing directly with the employer.
- Use the provider or agency’s own recruitment page. Some official portals are hosted by GovernmentJobs/NEOGOV or another hiring vendor. OCMedic does not process applications.

- This is a curated starting directory, not a complete list of Orange County employers or current licensed providers. The county’s ambulance directory is explicitly dated November 2, 2022; it was used to identify research candidates, not to certify present licensure.
- Fire-agency coverage was seeded from the official OCEMS 911-ALS provider directory. This edition includes ten fire/city recruitment destinations. Other county-listed agencies and ambulance operators still require independent recruitment-link checks before inclusion.
