ABOUT OC MEDIC

Supporting Orange County’s EMTs and paramedics.

OC Medic helps EMTs and paramedics in Orange County find clear, practical information for their work. Our goal is to support clinicians as they learn the local EMS system, build their knowledge, and grow in their roles—with a particular focus on those just starting out.

Information you can build on

From BLS scope of practice to treatment and medication guides, OC Medic puts useful explanations alongside links to official OCEMS sources. We aim to make it easier to prepare for a shift, revisit a topic, and understand where to find the complete guidance.

For new EMTs and paramedics, the goal is a helpful starting point: clear language, accessible references, and tools that support continued learning.

Built from field experience

OC Medic is built by Chris Sigler, a paramedic who actively provides Advanced Life Support with critical care elements, including emergency ventilator support and infusion pumps. Chris is also an American Heart Association (AHA) instructor and formerly served as a paramedic with Anaheim Fire & Rescue.

OC Medic is an independent educational resource, not affiliated with Orange County EMS. Use the official policies, current system notices, and agency guidance for clinical decisions.
