Field routing sequence

  1. Complete the OCEMS adult stroke-neurology triage assessment, including exact last-known-well time, responsiveness, and the qualifying new focal finding or intracerebral-hemorrhage criteria.
  2. Make base contact for every patient who meets stroke-neurology triage criteria and report the actual findings, side, glucose, blood pressure, and time information.
  3. Coordinate the Stroke-Neurology Receiving Center destination through base. If the patient does not meet the triage criteria, follow the standing order for transport to the nearest appropriate emergency receiving center.
  4. Avoid IO and external-jugular access in a potential SNRC patient when the standing order's thrombolysis precaution applies.
