SO-F-02 permits an authorized Fire Service RN to maintain this listed OTC product/category while functioning in the fire-service role. It is made available to firefighting personnel without a known allergy to the product.
The source directs use for the indications and at the doses on the actual container. It does not publish a universal EMS dose for this product. Eligible personnel obtain the medication from its container without assistance.

SO-F-02 is an adult/adolescent fire-service personnel program, not a pediatric 9-1-1 standing order. No pediatric dose or administration authority is established by this source.
Do not convert a package’s consumer pediatric directions into OCEMS field authority. Use an applicable pediatric standing order or medical direction for a child requiring care.
